| Stories, storytelling and
imagination are very much at the heart of what we do. Imaginary
Journeys was founded by storyteller, multi-instrumentalist,
workshop leader and writer, Rob Parkinson. We aim to inform
on positive uses of the imagination and to provide pure imaginative
fun.
We
are currently publishing a series of practical booklets about
fun oral games for making and telling stories.
We
also organize The Imaginary Journeys Annual Young Writers’
Competition, which encourages able young writers and
storytellers to make imaginative use of traditional plots.
You
can find information on the site about storytelling performances,
school visits, training, workshops, inhouse sessions for organizations
and courses in therapeutic storytelling. There are CDs for
children and adults, publications and various free downloads
of articles and information, song lyrics and story outlines.
